I Come First (2010)
After years of playing in the very adult and serious sandbox (where it seems that most people have still never really grown up), I Come First is my dissertation on human behavior in business. It is the story of how we work together as a group – and it is the framework for our personal success. If we understand each others’ perspectives and points of view, we can be far more effective. This is about perception, negotiation and politics. When we boil this down, it really is quite manageable.
I Come First includes a discussion of management, leadership, perception, negotiating and politics, as well as a broad discussion of maintaining control, stability and balance. I will say that writing I Come First was a bit of a cathartic experience.
