We’re back on shore after a chilly unexpected dip.

Randy and I took a surprising swim after our kayak was swamped by a breaker that hit us broadside. No photos at all on this much-abbreviated trip; with our cameras safely tucked into our dry bags. Randy had snapped a couple of photos earlier in the trip, but I hadn’t even had time to take the camera out. For what it’s worth, that is a big deal as we are finally getting ready for our journey to Brooks Lodge to photograph some Grizzlies. Would hate to go without our cameras.

We took time out of our busy schedules to host a couple of great friends – one for me and one for Kahla – and we headed off to the Grammys.  The Staples Center was beautiful as always, the red carpet was a wonderfully cool experience and the show was impressive.

Here are a couple of pics.  And huge thanks to my buddy Vinnie for making the huge trip to the west coast, for the first time, to spend a week – enjoy the beach, and visit with us.  Anytime my friend…
