Long Beach Beauty Pageant (Photos)
Here are some shots from the Long Beach Pageant on November 4, 2010. Shot with the 5d Mark II and the 1d Mark IV, the cameras are now so sensitive that I was able to get away without even turning on my flash (except for the session at the red carpet).
Every time I shoot an event I learn something – my lessons learned for this are:
1. use a dual shoulder strap (like my Black Rapid) to be extremely careful about putting the second camera down;
2. be disciplined, calm and assertive – get the shot without looking amateurish -
3. be well planned – know the settings (esp. shutter speed) and be mistake free.
